Hi there—we’re so glad you’re here!

We’re a family with a big love for animals and an even bigger heart for Golden Retrievers. Our story started back in 2004 when we began our family, welcoming our two boys in 2007 and 2011. In 2019, we made the move to beautiful Idaho, where we finally had the space and opportunity to follow a lifelong dream.

My husband, a Navy veteran, has always been my rock and partner in this adventure. Together, we've built a life centered around family, nature, and the joy that dogs bring into our world.
Growing up, we were always surrounded by animals—dogs, cats, birds, and even a few quirky pets like rats! So it’s no surprise our home quickly turned into a happy, tail-wagging haven. After spending time with different breeds, we were completely drawn to the Golden Retriever’s gentle, affectionate personality. That’s when we knew this was something we wanted to share with others.

We’re passionate about raising well-loved, well-bred Golden Retrievers and placing them in homes where they’ll be just as cherished. Our goal is to provide families with happy, healthy pups that grow into loyal companions for life.

Hi, I'm Krista – the heart behind Gold Treasure Retrievers
Animals have always held a special place in my heart. As a kid, I dreamed of becoming a veterinarian. But as life unfolded, it took me down a different path. After getting married and starting a family, my world shifted—in the best way—and I poured myself into raising my children. I even homeschooled them for a time, which sparked a deep love for working with kids. As I grew older, I found myself fascinated by the beauty of birth and began dreaming of becoming a midwife. While that dream didn’t pan out, it led me to something equally meaningful: dog breeding. I realized I could still be part of the miracle of life—just in a different way. Today, I’m living that dream through Gold Treasure Retrievers. I’m passionate about raising Golden Retrievers that are not just beautiful, but healthy, happy, and ready to become cherished members of your family. My goal is to support and improve the breed by focusing on strong genetics, excellent temperaments, and lots of early socialization. This work means the world to me, and I’m so grateful to share it with families like yours.
